How the practice relates to Alara Healthcare

Alara One Care is a practitioner-owned Florida primary care practice, owned and controlled by licensed practitioners. Its President is Gonzalo Portal Lemock, APRN. Alara Healthcare provides administrative and management services under a written management services agreement: administration, technology, billing, credentialing, compliance, and analytics. Neither Alara Healthcare nor its officers hold any office, employment, or authority in the practice; administrative services reach the practice only through that agreement. Clinical services and clinical decisions belong to the practice's licensed practitioners. The two companies are related: Jonan Portal Alvarez, who owns and leads Alara Healthcare, is the son of Gonzalo Portal Lemock. The management fee between them is set at fair market value on a documented basis, and the entities remain separately owned, separately governed, and separately banked.

Clinic licensure, exemptions, and practitioner disclosures are the practice's to state on its own website; they do not appear on this site.

A Family Nurse Practitioner with a clinical career spanning Cuba, Jamaica, and the United States, Gonzalo Portal Lemock spent nearly a decade in risk adjustment coding, auditing, and provider education, including at Baptist Health South Florida, before returning to primary care in Miami in 2024. He completed his medical training at the University of Havana with specializations in family and geriatric medicine, and served as Senior Medical Officer of Health for Jamaica's Northeast Regional Health Department. As President of Alara One Care he brings the clinician's judgment and the coder's rigor into one practice.
